Trespass

Hear this well: God is looking on us right now in love. Whatever else we may feel colors his vision, is wrong.

But, why is this love so difficult to accept, especially when it is impossible to live without? Perhaps it is exactly because it is impossible to live without, and there is something inside all of us obstinately bent towards death.

If our life is death, then death is life.

Let us trespass in the realm of death.

This post made me think about The Sandman graphic novel, which I just started reading yesterday. Pretty good so far. I'm definitely intrigued.

My new 80's death metal album title "trespassing in the realm of death."

But really though, this is an incredible thought. Matthew 10:39 Whoever find his life will lose it, whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Picking up your cross daily sounds like something morbid to me, no matter how sanitized the church has made it. Maybe that's why I like Catholic images so much; although they may be intensely graphic, I feel like they embrace the truth. It's too easy to make our Christianity a padded version of a velvet Jesus. I guess that's what we like though; comfort. It's too painful to voluntarily disgrace ourselves.

No. I wish I could claim it as my own find. But I cannot.
